Kyaw Sein is a Chief Legal Advisor of Myanmar Legal Advisors Group which has been established since 1995. He graduated with B.A (Law) and LL.B from University of Yangon and subsequently joined public service in 1972. He has (40) years of experience in legal field including (35) years of service as a government law officer.

He was a Deputy Director General of the Legislative Drafting Department of the Attorney General's Office and handled, supervised and drafted more than 200 Myanmar laws at the time of his retirement from Government Body.

He is especially identified as an accredited legal advisor to the government bodies and ministries after his retirement from Government Body with regard to the legislative drafting and modification of currently enacted Laws and Regulations of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Given his concentration in the area of legal drafting, corporate and commercial issues and both civil and criminal litigation for more than 40 years, he also writes on more than 15 books on Myanmar Laws including the following;

He is currently giving legal advice to ministries and government departments, embassies, international organizations, NGOs, NPOs and other business associations.

Khin Mar Mar Latt is a Senior Legal Advisor and founder of Myanmar Legal Advisors Group which has been established since 1995. She graduated with B.A (Law) and LL.B from University of Yangon and subsequently joined public service in 1972. She has (40) years of experience in legal field including (23) years of service as a government law officer of the Attorney General's Office.

She is a senior advisor of Myanmar Legal Advisors Group and offers legal advice and procedural support to local and foreign companies including corporate entities involved in State Projects. She takes part in prior negotiation process and prepares MOUs, MOAs, Agreements and Contracts. If there were any disagreements and conflicts in the course of these processes, she has to mediate for the amicable settlement with the parties involved. She has acted for numerous corporate clients from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Japan, Germany and the United States of America.

More specifically, she manages and carries out all aspects of:
  • Setting up business entities in Myanmar, including provision of legal advices on corporate secretarial compliance prior to formation and due diligence aspects of acquisition of business
  • Drafting agreements and contracts such as joint venture agreement, shareholders’ agreement, investment agreement, distributorship agreement, agency agreement and agreement for sale and purchase of businesses, properties and assets, etc...
  • Providing legal advice for commercial and financial problems between local companies, foreign companies and also between local and foreign companies
  • Providing legal advice for social and financial problems between citizens, foreigners and also between citizens and foreigners
  • Providing legal advice and rendering legal assistance for foreign entrepreneurs to invest either 100% or joint-venture with citizens or local companies
  • Providing legal advice and rendering legal assistance for establishing any kinds of service companies, such as agriculture, production, manufacturing and trading in accordance with the currently enacted laws and regulations
  • Providing legal advice and rendering legal assistance on all employment-related litigious matters, such as contracts of employment, issues related to the termination of employment and income tax matters
  • Preparing agreements for lease, sale and purchase of movable and immovable properties as well as handling of legal documents for such transactions
  • Providing legal advice and rendering legal assistance on trademark registration, intellectual property rights and intellectual property litigation
  • Providing legal opinion for general civil and criminal disputes and rendering legal service throughout litigation process

Than Than Yi is a Supreme Court Advocate and Senior Legal Advisor of Myanmar Legal Advisors Group which has been established since 1995.

She graduated with B.A (Myanmar) from Mandalay Arts and Science University and finished her R.L (1975, Yangon Arts and Science University). She joined public service in 1979 and served as a Law Officer (Public Prosecutor)  at the different levels of Law Offices, conducted numerous criminal cases and tendered legal advice to the government departments on behalf of the Government of Myanmar. 

She worked at Legislative Drafting and Translation Department of the Office of the Union Attorney General for twelve years since 1999 and drafted various laws and regulations of Myanmar until her retirement in 2010 as a Deputy Director of the same department.  

After her retirement, she served as a Legal Expert to the Office of the Union Attorney General for one year and worked as an independent Legal Consultant for various government departments and organizations, such as  Myanmar Medical Council, Myanmar Dental Council, Myanmar Nurses and Midwives Council, Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department and Global Treasure Bank.  

She was a member of Legal Affairs and Special Cases Assessment Commission, Pyithu Hluttaw (from Nov 2011 to Jan 2016) and a member of Legal Affairs and Special Cases Assessment Commission, Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (from Feb 2016 to Feb 2019).

Having ample of experiences, she is now tendering legal advice to many Ministries, government enterprises, UN organizations, embassies and private businesses.

Rachel graduated from the Faculty of Law of Dagon University of Myanmar with Honours Degree and commenced her legal career with Myanmar Legal Advisors Group in 2004. She was admitted as a Higher Grade Pleader of the Divisional Court of Myanmar in 2005. Thereafter she obtained LL.M (Commercial Law) degree of the University of Yangon in 2006.

From January 2007 to July 2008, she joined the corporate department of Haridass Ho & Partners of Singapore where she assisted the partners in drafting of various corporate agreements.

She now deals with diversity of works including

He handled diverse areas of litigation practice including commercial cases, tort cases, employment and labour disputes, intellectual property litigation, corporate litigation, criminal cases, family and matrimonial disputes in Supreme Court of the Union, Regional and State High Courts, District Courts, Township Courts and Special Courts. Aye Lwin is a Litigation Partner of Myanmar Legal Advisors Group. He graduated with LL.B from the University of Yangon in 1987. He served as a government law officer for more than (15) years and successfully handled numerous general civil and criminal proceedings. He is experienced in divorce and ancillary matrimonial cases as well as in adoption and probate matters and also in criminal proceedings where he handled diverse matters from criminal breach of trust to charges of misuse of drugs and murder offenses.

He deals with business agreements and contract managements. In addition to the usual sale and purchase of properties, he handles disputes between vendors and purchasers, strata title disputes, landlord and tenant claims, trespass, nuisance and easements and disputes in respect of the development of residential or commercial property.

She renders general legal assistance to Chief Legal Advisor, Senior Legal Advisors, and Legal Consultant. She also assists the Litigation Partners in general litigation processes.
